Price difference between the Saturn and Ray Flash
Why is there such a big disparity between the Saturn Ring Flash and the Ray Flash ($80 compared to $200)? Does it have to do with quality, materials, etc.?

Re: Price difference between the Saturn and Ray Flash
The difference in price most likely has to do more with Ray Flash's pricing strategy then manufacturing costs.
Having looked at the Ray Flash and Saturn Ring Flash side by side I can tell you that it’s not the manufacturing costs that account for the difference in price.
Ray Flash was the first company to market a ring flash adapter. The pricing strategy used by the expoimaging is called, price skimming- basically you charge as much as you think the market will bear, in this case $299, until you are forced to reduce your price to compete with newer arrivals in the market. In January, after a couple months of increased competition they dropped their price to $199.
